Promoting Cultural Awareness Through The Arts

 A NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION ~ MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT THROUGH KNOWLEDGE & CHARITY.

What is an American?
Native Indians?  First generations born here? Foreigners that receive their citizenship?

From day one, after the Native Indians, anyone who set foot in the United States is also of a unique culture.  Throughout the centuries, all immigrants and their children born here, have been part of this great “Patch Work” we call America.

It is not uncommon for those who are born out of their native land to feel lost in a sea of different cultures and backgrounds.  A cultural Identity is important. World Heritage Cultural Center, Inc. is Creating a Common Ground where any Culture in the World can come and Celebrate their way of Life through the Arts and Food; where people can strengthen their ties to their own cultures or learn about a new one. World Heritage Cultural Center presents a dichotomy of understanding.

To understand where you come from and where others come from will help to foster a greater understanding and respect for different cultural values and customs. Arts integration is a powerful force that will allow people to experience things directly and develop a strong self identity connecting us to our cultural roots.

Creativity and character building is essential in the healthy development of self esteem. From the study of dance, music, acting, creative writing, ..the Arts, children and adult alike, gain:
•Confidence
•Learn to Think on their feet
•Expand Creativity
•Improve Social Skills; expand vocabulary;
•Build Leadership Qualities
•Communication and Presentation Skills
•Become more adaptable to changing environments/situations in their lives, solve problems creatively and defuse situations.

WHCC’s primary services are provided after school and during the summer, for all ages, including special programming for senior citizens and those with special needs.  We offer classes and workshops, through onsite or offsite, not limited to, in dance, music, acting, creative writing and the media arts.  WHCC also connects and provides opportunities to receive scholarships, internships, mentoring, skill development and networking opportunities for our members.

World Heritage Cultural Center is connected to the American Cancer Society, HomeAide, Alex Lemonade Stand among other charitable organizations in domestic violence, Aids, Stop Bullying, Campaigns agains drugs, alcohol, teen pregnancy as such. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, we connect with existing charities to help make a bigger impact.

World Heritage Cultural Center, in addition, is hosting a free English class every week to the public; teach free musical/voice classes along with Daniel’s Music Foundation to those, of any age, with special needs and disabilities. Call us about getting involved with being a sponsor with Daniel’s Music Foundation.

Opening our first center in Thornwood New York, is the first step to making a noble mission at World Heritage Cultural Center come alive.  The proceeds and donations will be used to help World Heritage Cultural Center grow and within the five year period, possibly buy its own building.  The goal beyond this project is to create centers around the United States to continue making a positive impact through knowledge & charity. Once we are successful in Thornwood New York,  we hope other states will follow in its footsteps.
